Social Media Intern

Great Lakes Integrated Network is looking for a driven and creative Social Media Intern to work in with our marketing & communication team. The Social Media Intern is responsible for creating social media posts and social media calendars, as well as assisting the marketing manager with brainstorming social media campaigns.

The successful Social Media Intern must have excellent knowledge of various social media platforms and the ability to combine creative campaign ideas with analytical skills to create successful posts.

Social Media Intern Responsibilities:

  • Create and grow social media presence
  • Managing the social media calendar.
  • Assist in the growth of the brand by raising awareness through various social media platforms
  • Monitor postings to ensure GLIN brand message is constant
  • Brainstorming campaign ideas.
  • Posting on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Analyzing analytics to gauge the success of posts.

Social Media Intern Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of analytical tools.
  • Creative mindset.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Pursing a Bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled as a matriculated student  in their third or fourth year in an accredited college or university in marketing or related field of study
  • Familiar with the multi-social posting platform, Hootsuite
  • Comfortable with working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites

Hours: 8 – 12 hours/week, preferably twice a week in the GLIN office at Larkin at Exchange, 726 Exchange Buffalo, NY.

Compensation: This is an unpaid co-op credit internship
