Marketing Communication Intern

Great Lakes Integrated Network is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Marketing Communication Intern to join our marketing & communication team. The  Marketing Communication Intern will assists the marketing department in its promotional efforts, branding, marketing collateral, and assisting in events as well as administrative duties in developing and executing marketing strategies.

In addition to being an excellent communicator and writer, you should have exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities, and have in-depth knowledge of marketing skills.

Marketing & Communication Intern Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily administrative duties.
  • Preparing detailed promotional presentations.
  • Assist in writing communications including letters, newsletters, marketing collateral, web content, invitations, press releases, and reports.
  • Research/produce collateral materials as directed.
  • Planning and executing assigned aspects of special events.

  Marketing & Communication Intern Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative mindset.
  • Responsibility to complete projects by a pre-determined deadline
  • Ability to work well with others independently
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Pursing a Bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled as a matriculated student in their third or fourth year in an accredited college or university in marketing or related field of study
  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
  • Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe InDesign and Photoshop), PowerPoint, and Excel.

Hours: 8 – 12 hours/week, preferably twice a week in the GLIN office at Larkin at Exchange, 726 Exchange Buffalo, NY.

Compensation: This is an unpaid co-op credit internship
