Business Intern (Summer)

Great Lakes Integrated Network (GLIN), an affiliate of Kaleida Health and Erie County Medical Center Corporation, is a Buffalo-based, physician-led independent physicians association (IPA) consisting of approximately 600 physicians in the areas of primary and specialty care. The mission of GLIN is to transform the healthcare experience in Western New York, promoting high-quality, equitable and efficient healthcare through innovation and collaboration.

Great Lakes Integrated Network is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Business Intern to join our team.  The Business Intern will be assigned a special project that will help advance GLIN’s mission and can be completed within the allotted 8 week window. This job also has the goal of providing the opportunity to acquire practical experience through direct exposure to the related business line and related areas, helping to prepare the participant for future positions within the industry.

Business Intern Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily administrative duties
  • Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Conduct research and reporting including recommendations or proposals
  • Other duties as assigned

 Business Intern Requirements:

  • Pursing a Bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled as a matriculated student in an accredited college or university in business, health administration, mathematics, finance, economics, or other related fields of study
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solver
  • Accountable
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others and independently
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, word, excel and powerpoint

Hours: M-F 40 hours/week in the GLIN office at Larkin at Exchange, 726 Exchange Buffalo, NY.  Paid internship for the Summer.
